Royal Caribbean International's Adventure of the Seas was the first major passenger ship to return to New York harbour since the tragic September 11 terrorist attacks,and was officially named by representatives from the Fire Department of New York and New York Police Department in a ceremony on the ship at Pier 88 on November 10 2001.
